
Blaž Kladnik is a policy officer in the Market Surveillance and Conduct Department at ACER since its establishment in 2016. He is responsible for the screening of the notifications of market abuse that reach ACER, he cooperates with NRAs in REMIT cases and other policy topics, drafts policy notes about the interpretation of REMIT, and reviews assessments on potential breaches of this regulation. After his diploma in electrical power engineering, he was an assistant lecturer, researcher and project manager at the Laboratory of Energy policy at the Faculty of Electrical engineering at the University in Ljubljana, where he obtained a PhD in Electricity markets. Before joining ACER he worked for the largest producer and trading company HSE in Slovenia as a Researcher, Portfolio Management Analyst, and Gas Trading Specialist.
