Bruno Luscan

Bruno LUSCAN graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau – France) and Ecole Nationale de Techniques Avancées (Paris – France), respectively in 1989 and 1991.

From 1991 until 1997, he was a Research Engineer with Gec-Alsthom, in the field of high-voltage circuit-breaker technologies. He then held various technical management positions in the Transmission and Distribution industry, being responsible for new product and new technology development activities. Since 2014, he has been a Research Program Director, with SuperGrid Institute (Villeurbanne – France). The research program that he leads, primarily deals with HVDC systems, HVDC grids and their integration with AC power systems. Since 2016, he has also been the Chief Technology Officer of SuperGrid Institute. He holds several patents, as co-inventor.
