Daniel joined E.ON in August 2021 having played a key role in the delivery of npower’s DSR capability including their in-house DSR platform. With over 23 years’ experience in the UK energy industry, Dan has held also roles in Yorkshire Electricity and Engie (both Demand Side Response (DSR) pioneers) and with a strong analytical and commercial background he has consistently leveraged his expertise to DSR response solutions and revenues for strategic customers.
While Dan’s primary role is to lead the project for E.ON his experience will prove useful when it comes to optimising the commercial benefits for the intended battery solution using current market mechanisms while retaining the capability to deliver the RaaS service. This will also feed into the ‘Business as Usual’ approach intended for wider rollout of the service which must not only deliver the required network resilience at the right cost to SSEN but which will also generate suitably attractive investment indicators for battery owners.
