He joined Eni S.p.A Group on 1987 as physical chemistry researcher; he was entrusted with increasingly responsible positions in EniTecnologie, Refining & Marketing, Gas & Power, Midstream and Development Operations & Technology until now.
His activity was focused on R&D projects for oil & gas industry providing materials science, preventive maintenance, pipeline monitoring, geophysical survey and cultural heritage. He got his Ms. Physics degree at University of Trento (Italy) in 1985 and he was Material Science researcher at the Institute of Technology and Science of Trento (Italy) since 1986.
In 1991 was visiting researcher at Fraunhofer Institute for Non-Destructive Testing, Saarbrucken (Germany). He provided activities for sustainability of cultural heritage (1997-2005). Survey & restoration of St. Peter façade in Vatican, Milan’s Cathedral, and archaeological projects in Italy and Libya.
Eni Research & Innovation Award 2010 for advanced pipeline monitoring system. Co-author of more than 125 papers published on journals and conference proceedings, and co-inventor of more than 20 granted patents. Member of ASME, ASNT, SPE and AOGS.
