
Eric H. Bauman is Principal Technical Leader and Program Manager – Occupational Health and Safety, at the Electric Power Research Institute, a position he has held since February 2017. Eric has broad experience in environmental, health and safety management and policy, risk communications, regulatory affairs, corporate strategic planning, and technology innovation. Much of his career has been spent in the electric sector and government service, holding a variety of roles in two utilities, state government, research and the Edison Electric Institute. Eric was also a guest scientist at the Research Center Juelich, near Aachen, Germany. His current passion is providing evidence-based tools and knowledge for EPRI members to reduce serious injuries and fatalities, thereby extending workers’ careers and quality of life through wellness initiatives. Eric is a charter member of the Society for Risk Analysis, and American Society of Safety Professionals. He lives and works in Walnut Creek, California.
