
Fred Lockwood is President of OCEOS, an innovative joint venture between Air Liquide and Sogestran created to address the need for CO2 shipping and barging on CCS projects in Europe. Prior to setting up and managing OCEOS, Fred worked in several fields related to the energy transition. After starting his career in wind energy, he was one of the first persons at Air Liquide to work on CO2 capture R&D. He was then heavily involved in the technical and commercial development of Air Liquide’s proprietary CryocapTM technology in the Engineering division, working on the first pilot/demo plants such as the one in Port Jérôme, Normandy, France. He has also been involved in the development of high-performance LNG liquefaction technology. Fred holds a master’s degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, and an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs, Paris
