Jacob C. Jørgensen

Jacob C. Jørgensen is a Danish lawyer with more than 15 years’ PQE from Swiss, UK and Scandinavian law firms. He specializes in international arbitration law and construction law – with particular focus on onshore and offshore renewable energy projects. He is the General Counsel to Cadeler A/S – a Danish shipping company, specialized in offshore wind farm installation projects. Jacob is a member of the ICC Commission on Environment and Energy and holds a fellowship with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). Jacob has acted as an arbitrator under the Rules of Procedure of the ICC, the Danish Institute of Arbitration and in ad hoc arbitrations. In 2019, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne appointed Jacob as the third Danish national arbitrator of the court. He has also been appointed as a panelist by among others:

The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center in Geneva; the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC); the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC); and the Chinese Arbitration Association. In 2010, Jacob co-authored and edited the book, “Delay Clauses in International Construction Contracts”. He regularly publishes in the field of arbitration law and construction law, and is furthermore affiliated with the University of Copenhagen as a guest lecturer.
