Joe Klecha – Nuclear Industry Practice Lead – Cohesive, Bentley Systems

Joe Klecha serves as the Nuclear Industry Practice Lead for Cohesive. In this role, he is responsible for leading customers and project organizations in an advisory capacity to successfully deliver digital lifecycle asset management solutions and nuclear management strategies. Cohesive’s practice focuses on new nuclear technologies and construction, operating companies, and nuclear decommissioning.

Most recently, Joe served as Southern Nuclear’s Vice President of Site Operations for Vogtle 3 and 4 in Waynesboro, Georgia. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of the project that supported testing, start-up and preparation for plant operation. Joe had served as the Vogtle 3&4 New Nuclear Construction Project Director, overseeing the execution of day-to-day construction activities.

He had held various leadership roles within Southern Nuclear including Plant Manager, Supplier Compliance Director, Operations Director, Initial Test Program Director and Fleet Work Controls Manager.

Joe’s experience in nuclear spans 28 years, during which time he was also Fleet Operations Director for Duke Energy and Work Controls Manager at Calvert Cliffs for Constellation Energy Group.

Joe earned his Senior Reactor Operator license at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State College and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University. Additionally, Joe spent over eight years as a US Navy submariner aboard the USS Nebraska and Submarine NR-1.

Joe and his wife, Stephanie, are the proud parents of two lovely daughters (Mackenzie and Delaney) and reside in Evans, Georgia.
