
Juan Lopez-Vaquero joined ACER in 2014 as Policy Officer for gas Energy Infrastructure. Within ACER, he has been dealing with gas network planning, EU regulation for trans-European Energy infrastructure and, since recently, on security of gas supply issues. Before joining ACER, he worked for more than 5 years at the Spanish Regulatory Authority for energy (CNE), now integrated into the CNMC in topics related to gas infrastructure development and market monitoring. Prior to working in gas regulation, he worked as a construction engineer for ACS Group.
Juan holds a M.Sc. on Industrial Engineering, mechanical branch, and has completed annual yearly specialised training programmes in Energy Finance and Energy Law at the Spanish Energy Institute – ENERCLUB and the Annual Training on the Regulation of Energy Utilities at the Florence School of Regulation.
