Karl has strategic responsibility for Drax’s world-leading bioenergy with carbon capture and storage programme. He leads on the company’s government relations, strategic positioning and issues management around its plans to transform Drax Power Station into the world’s first carbon negative power station by 2027. During his time at Drax he has also served as Head of Policy & Government Relations and Head of Public Affairs. He is a board member of the UK’s Carbon Capture and Storage Association.
Prior to joining Drax, Karl spent several years in consultancy advising a number of international energy companies on government relations, policy development and broader decarbonisation strategy. He has a MBA from Warwick Business School and a MSc in public policy from University College London.
