Lloyd Mitchell

Lloyd joined National Grid in 2016, first working on strategic spares management within Gas Transmission and then moved on through a number of different roles within the organisation including in the HS2 diversion team, the Gas Business Improvement project and the Gas Strategy team.

Lloyd first started working on hydrogen development in 2017 and has been one of the leading voices for hydrogen within the organisation. In 2018 he led the ‘Hydrogen in the NTS’ innovation project and continued to work closely within the innovation team before joining the FutureGrid team full time in early 2021.

Lloyd has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Cardiff University and in 2020 became a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
