Marco Gazzino is Head of Innovation and Sustainability at Enel X, Enel’s advanced energy services business line dedicated to new home, industry, urban and electric mobility solutions. His unit carries out development and testing of innovative products, deployment of innovation projects, circular economy initiatives and CSV activities for Enel X.
Formerly, Marco was the Head of Partnerships and Innovation Intelligence at Enel, managing a portfolio of over 130 innovation partnerships at global level. He was also in charge to develop and deploy the innovation intelligence platform of Enel Group, utilized by 70.000 employees and providing access to over 60 million documents.
Marco joined Enel in 2007, in the R&D department, where he focused in establishing joint research projects, then he moved to Holding where he led the revision of Enel’s innovation portfolio FY2013 and FY2014, introducing a quantitative link between the innovation portfolio and the Groups’ strategic plan.
Marco holds a Master on Corporate Innovation from ESADE Business School, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and has been visiting scientist at MIT. He published more than 30 papers and has been invited lecturer at LUISS Business School, with lectures on innovation strategy held on 2013 and 2016 classes.
