Mathias Lefeld leads the corporate risk management, internal control and insurances team at TenneT. His team’s mission is to enhance TenneT’s ability to achieve its objectives, by optimizing decision making and managing total costs of risks. After around 3 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mathias started almost 13 years ago at TenneT in the Offshore business unit focussing on risk management & insurances for the erection and operation of high-voltage grid connection system in the German North-Sea. Thereby, he was involved in the development of the insurance market, supplier risk transfer and German legislation. Since 2016 he took over the responsibility for the corporate insurance management and a bit later merged with corporate risk management & internal control. Hence, the focus was on harmonisation, knowledge transfer and gaining synergies on TCoR and risk transfer.
