In 1996 Oleksiy Povolotskiy graduated from the Law School of Kharkiv University of Internal Affairs. Later he obtained a master’s degree in Scarman Centre, University of Leicester (UK).
Before becoming a lawyer at Squire Sanders & Dempsey LLP, an international law firm, he taught law and held the position of the Director of International Relations Department at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
He started working at DTEK since 2010 as the Head of Corporate
Management Department. Since 2017 he has also been responsible for compliance and since 2018 — for business process management, risk management, and business continuity management. He is the Corporate Secretary of the Supervisory Boards of DTEK Energy B.V., DTEK Oil&Gas B.V., DTEK Renewables B.V., DTEK Grids B.V., D. Solutions B.V., D. Trading B.V.
He is a member of the Board of the Corporate Governance Professional Association, a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association and an attorney.
