Vestas, a world leader in manufacturing wind turbines has secured a 58MW deal to supply turbines to Crookwell 3 wind farm in New South Wales, Australia. The wind farm will require 16 turbines from Vestas’ V126-3.45 MW category which have an individual capacity of 3.6MW each.

The European Commission has given permission to an aid scheme presented by the French government to support renewable electricity production. The scheme grants support to operators of solar energy, onshore wind energy and hydroelectric plants by means of a competitive bidding process. The scheme has a total budget of around €30.5 billion and will serve eligible French renewable producers for a period of 5 years. France hopes to procure 34 GW of renewables generation capacity by 2026 under the incentive scheme.

OX2, a wind energy developer based in Sweden has placed an order of 15 turbines with Nordex, a German turbines manufacturer for a Polish wind farm. OX2 will build a 45MW in Huszlew which is located in the Mazowieckie province in East Poland. The onshore wind farm will generate 130GWh on an annual basis which will fulfill the energy requirements of 30,000 homes. The plant will also remove carbon emissions to the tune of 45,000 tonnes each year.
